Tenofovir alafenamide fumarate (TAF) is a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) and a novel ester prodrug of the antiretroviral tenofovir.

Tenofovir alafenamide fumarate indicated for the treatment of HIV-1 infection and chronic hepatitis B, in adults and pediatric patients 12 years of age and older.

Tenofovir alafenamide fumarate has good antiviral activity and better distribution into lymphoid tissues which helps to treat HIV infections.

Tenofovir alafenamide fumarate is white to off-white crystalline powder and soluble in water.
