Trelagliptin succinate is orally active DPP-4 inhibitor that produces clinically and statistically significant improvements in glycaemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes. Trelagliptin succinate has a long duration of action and is well tolerated effects studies to treat type 2 diabetes.

Trelagliptin succinate is white to off-white solid and soluble in Dimethyl sulfoxide, not in water.
